Novaluxe is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Our Commitment

We believe digital accessibility is a right, not a feature. Our website is designed to be:

  • Perceivable — Information is presented in ways all users can perceive, including text alternatives for non-text content.
  • Operable — All functionality is available via keyboard, and users have enough time to read and use content.
  • Understandable — Content is readable and predictable; input assistance is provided where needed.
  • Robust — Content is compatible with current and future assistive technologies.

Current Accessibility Features

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks and headings for screen reader navigation
  • ARIA labels on interactive elements (buttons, forms, navigation)
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios (4.5:1 minimum for normal text)
  • Keyboard navigable interface — all interactive elements reachable via Tab key
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
  • Alt text on all meaningful images; decorative images marked as aria-hidden
  • Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels up to 400%
  • No content that flashes more than 3 times per second

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas are still being improved:

  • Some inline SVG illustrations may have limited screen reader descriptions — we are adding more detailed aria-label attributes progressively.
  • Older embedded content may not meet full accessibility standards.

Assistive Technology Support

Our website is tested with and supports:

  • NVDA + Chrome (Windows)
  • VoiceOver + Safari (macOS and iOS)
  • TalkBack + Chrome (Android)
  • JAWS + Chrome/Edge (Windows)
